Farmoor

Farmoor is a small village in Oxfordshire (formerly in Berkshire), situated 4.2 miles west of Oxford city centre. (gbmapping|SP450070)

The village is part of Cumnor civil parish, in the Vale of White Horse district. Farmoor is home to Farmoor village church, Farmoor village stores, Farmoor service station, Farmoor Reservoir, Nature Reserve and Pinkhill Lock on the River Thames.

Historically, the area was known as the tything of Stroud. Farmoor Common was an open field within the tything, now under the reservoir.
