The district and its adjacent lands are a source of potential economic growth if utalized properly. There is a great agricultural land. The region receives a sufficient amount of rainfall throughout the year, making the area the wettest and coolest place in the Lower Jubba province. This makes the region condusive for agricultural activities as well as animal herdism, especially cattle. The Inhabitants of Badhaadhe enjoyed relative peace during the Civil War despite few Isolated incidents. This is because the people of Badhadhe are peace-loving and they appreciate community co-existence. As a result, one can see all tribes of Somalia going about their business without any interfrence from the locals, as opposed to most regions in Somalia. The governnance of the district is very effective. Even though it does not undercome any one warlord or faction, the district leaders form a council of elders that decide and solve issues concerning the running of the district. Because there is no effective central government for Somalia at the moment, the district receieves its operating finances from individuals living abroad who hail from the region. This money from the Diaspora is used to provide services such as health care, veterinary services for animals, schools and support for farmers and fishermen.
