2007 Down Under Classic

The 2007 Down Under Classic was the second consecutive edition of the cycling race held in Adelaide, Australia since its foundation in 2006. The race was the official warm-up for the 2007 Tour Down Under.

The race started off with 111 international professional cyclists for an approxiamete 1-hour criterium over 50 kilometres (25 laps of 2 km) in and around Adelaide. Early in the race several groups of riders tried their luck in breakaway groups but none succeeded and it all came together for a mass sprint, which was won by Mark Renshaw, who finished in front of seven more Australians. Enrico Degano in 9th position was the first non-Australian to cross the line.
