Carthage High School (Carthage, Mississippi)

Carthage High School is a public school located at 704 Jordan Street in Carthage, Mississippi (USA). It is part of the Leake County School District. The school is currently rated Category 4. School uniforms are required for all students.

History

Carthage High School serves students enrolled in grades 9-12 and was built in 1961. W.C. Oliver was the Superintendent, Hicks and McMullan of Jackson designed the school. Webster Construction Company of Meridian built CHS.

Mission Statement

Carthage High School will provide its students with equal opportunities to become lifelong learners and productive citizens in an ever-changing society.

*Cross Country Boys—2nd in the state ('06-'07)
*Boys Basketball--2nd in state Division 3A ('06-'07)
*Boys Track - 1st place in State Division 3A ('06-'07)
*Tiger Times - 1st place General Excellence, small school division ('07-'08)
*Coach Barfield - Coach of the Year ('06-'07 and '07-'08)
