Neighboring districts are (from the south clockwise) Pha Khao, Wang Saphung, Mueang Loei and Na Duang of Loei Province, and Na Wang and Si Bun Rueang of
Nongbua Lamphu Province .The main river in the district is the Suai.

The minor district ("
