Melbourne . Established in 1968 providing education to a largely rural community the school now enrols 1183 students from an urban community. It is currently undergoing a six stage development project, which has seen the building of a new $3.5 million VCE student complex. The school population is expected to peak at 1800.Academics

12 November 2003 ]In 2006, the College was in the final three of the
Rock Eisteddfod Challenge , it was placed 2nd at the Melbourne Open Grand Final 2006, with their show 'Gaia'. The college was promoted up to the Premier Division in 2007, with a show called 'Living Memory', loosely based on the Seamus Heaney poem 'Lady in the Bog'. Pakenham did not qualify for a place in the top five, but did move into the final round. The college did not participate in the 2008 Rock Eisteddfod Challenge. but will return for the 2009 competition.Athletics
In 2003, the boy's netball team and girl's football team were named state champions. The boy's netball team succeeded in beating 95 other schools in the State of Victoria to defeat Wheelers Hill in the final. The girl's football overcame 135 competing schools to defeat Essendon-Keilor Secondary College team in the finals of that year.
