The A4135 road is a roadway in
Gloucestershire whose eastern terminus is in the town ofTetbury . The road is a two lane paved facility which proceeds northwestly from Tetbury to terminate immediately west of its crossing with theM5 motorway . Other communities through which this road passes areBeverston ,Dursley andLower Cam . Considerable ancient history underlies the locale of this road, the earliest recorded such history dates to the second century AD, as recorded by the Greek writerPtolemy . The earliest British tribes inhabiting this area are known to have been the "dobunni " and the "cornovii ". Roman relics have been found in the vicinity of the roadway right-of-way atCalcot Manor , approximately three kilometres west of Tetbury.
