Sagara Oil field

Sagara Oil field is located in Makinohara, Shizuoka Prefecture, Japan. It is the Japan's only Pacific oil field. The oil field can born very light oil so it is able to move a car not refine.

In May 1873 the oil field was discovered. 1874 ENEOS began to dig on macine. Most term about 1884 were working to about 600 people and about 43000 barrels of oil. It stopping to dig oil after 1980 becomed Shizuoka pref culturel monument. Now the place became "Yudennosato park".
