Maharashtra geet

Maharashtra geet refers to any of the various regional patriotic songs about Maharashtra.

Some of the songs that are often referred to as "Maharashtra Geet" are:

  • Rakat desha, kanakhar desha, dagadanchya desha penned by Vasant Bapat; popular in households of Maharashtra[1]
  • Mangal desha, pavitra desha, Maharashtra desha by Govindagraj
  • Bahu asot sunder sampanna ti mahan, priya amucha ek Maharashtra desh ha
  • Jai jai Maharashtra maza garja Maharashtra maza
  • Hi maaybhumi hi janmabhumi
