- Prakrti
Prakrti or Prakriti (from Sanskrit language प्रकृ्रति, prakṛti) is, according to
Vedanta philosophy, the basic matter of which theUniverse consists. It is composed of the threeguna s or modes, known as tamas (ignorance),rajas (passion) andsattva (goodness).It is described in Bhagavad Gita as an inferior type of energy to the living beings (
jiva s), and to the Supreme Person (Paramatma orBhagavan ). It is closely associated with the concept of Maya within Vedic scripture.Devi PrakritiShakti in the context of Shaktis as forces unifiesKundalini ,Kriya , Itcha,Para ,Jnana , Mantrika Shaktis. Each is in achakra .Prakriti also means nature. Nature can be described as environment. It can also be used to denote the 'feminine' in sense of the 'male' being the
purusha .According to
ayurveda our body is made up of three doshaskapha ,pitta ,vayu . The balance or imbalance of these doshas defines the "prakriti" of our body (besides Devi Prakriti insahasrara chakra.)ee also
