Queen consort of Canute I of Sweden

Queen consort of Canute I of Sweden

queen NN was, as wife of Canute I of Sweden, queen-consort of Sweden.

So much has been written both academically and in popular culture about her that this article exists to give an account of results of research.

Cecilia Blanka, the name assigned to wife of Canute I in fiction written by popularly read Swedish author Jan Guillou, is most highly probably not true.

Her name may have been Cecilia, as genealogies some centuries afterwards suggested, or more probably not.
