Old Norse : "BalliR") or Red-Balle (Old Norse: "Rauð-BalliR") was arunemaster who flourished inSweden during the second half of the11th century . runestone s in south-westernUppland and northernSödermanland , and he often signed in the form ofOld Norse poetry (e.g. theÅgersta Runestone ). There are also an additional 30 runestones that may be attributed to him.However, due to differences in ornamentation and
orthography , it is not certain whether Balle and Red-Balle, who signed theOdendisa Runestone and a stone in Lilla Kyringe, were one and the same person.Gallery
