Frank McDougall

Frank McDougall

Frank McDougall (born 21 February 1958, Glasgow) is a retired Scottish football player who played as a striker for Clydebank, St Mirren and Aberdeen in the 1970s and 80s.

He was bought by St Mirren from Clydebank in 1979 for £150,000, which was a record transfer between two Scottish clubs at the time. He moved to Aberdeen in 1984 to replace Mark McGhee. "Frankie Goes To Fusion" became the top scorer in the Scottish League in 1985 as Aberdeen won the league. He had to retire prematurely due to injury in 1987. He now owns The Critereon, a pub in Aberdeen which he is turning into a sports bar.
