Alfred Henry Scott (politician)

Alfred Henry Scott, MP (24 June, 1868 – 17 July, 1939) was an Ardwick, Manchester born politician who was elected as Liberal MP for Ashton-under-Lyne on 13 January 1906. He served in this capacity until 1910 when he was defeated by Max Aitken (later Lord Beaverbrook).

Early career

Previously stood unsuccessfully as a parliamentary candidate in Darlington (date unknown) and Manchester East
