pitcher , and he appeared in one game with the Angels at the age of 19. After spending most of the next decade in the minor leagues, during which time he switched positions tocenter field , Darwin finally established himself as a solid major league player with the Twins in 1972. In his first three full seasons (1972-by|1974), Darwin hit 65home run s and drove in 264 runs, finishing in the top ten in the American League in home runs andruns batted in in both 1972 and 1974. However, he also led the American League instrikeout s in all three of those seasons. He was traded to the Brewers in the middle of a disappointing 1975 season, and finished his career as a part-time player in 1976 and 1977.External links
