The A41 autoroute is a motorway in the French
Alps . Also known as the "L'Alpine". It opened in1981 . The road connectsGrenoble and the A40. It is made of two sections separated by the N201 andA43 autoroute atChambéry .Characteristics

The A41 is to be extended to
Geneva . A new sectionSaint-Julien-en-Genevois toVilly-le-Pelloux 19km long was given to ADELAC to project manage on 27 October 2005. The major engineering project is the "Tunnel du Mont-Sion" (3,100 m). The road is due to open in December 2008.At that date the old A41 to Bonneville will be re-numbered the A410.
