Radio Romántica was a name used by
EXCL Communications (laterEntravision ) for various Spanish-languageradio station s from the 1990s through 2005. The earliest known reference to Radio Romántica is from 1997 [cite news |title=Hispanic Market Weekly |url=http://www.hispanicmarketweekly.com/article.cms?id=501] , at which timeKBRG San Francisco,KJMN Denver,KRZY-FM Albuquerque, an unknown Salinas station, and another unknown station were using the name.Fact|date=June 2008 Radio Romántica may have existed before 1997—possibly as early as 1992 when EXCL bought KBRG.Fact|date=June 2008Entravision acquired the Radio Romántica name and stations following its purchase of EXCL Communications in 2000.
