- Rayburn Musical Instruments
Rayburn Musical Instruments is a retail store specializing in brass, woodwind and orchestral string instruments. The original Rayburn was founded in 1939 in Boston, Massachusetts. The Boston Rayburn is currently located at 238 Huntington Ave.
Rayburn, Boston is particularly known for being the professional home of Emilio Lyons "The Sax Doctor", who is possibly the best-regarded woodwind repair technician in the United States.
Rayburn also has locations in New York City, on Columbus Avenue, near Lincoln Center; and in Hartford, Connecticut. In 2006 Rayburn also acquired Zeswitz Music in Reading, Pennsylvania, after the Brooks-Mays chain of music stores went out of business.
