Oshima, Nagasaki (Nishisonogi)

Ōshima (大島町; -chou) is a town located in Nishisonogi District, Nagasaki, Japan. As of 2003, the town has an estimated population of 6,046 and a density of 453.56 persons per km². The total area is 13.33 km².

Oshima's main places of employment are the Supermarket, Island Hotel and the Shipyard, which seems to employ the majority of Oshima's workforce as well as many foreign workers from China, South Korea and Liverpool.Fact|date=May 2007
