Pandher is a
Jat surname traditionally found inNorthern India particularly inPunjab (India) . Most Pandhers are Punjabis of theSikh faith or born toSikh parents.Sir
Lepel Griffin ’s opinion is that the Pandhers came into the Punjab region fromTajikistan ,Uzbekistan , andRajasthan . The noted historian,K.C. Yadav says that most of the Jat tribes came to the Punjab in the eleventh century during the days ofMahmud of Ghazni . Pandhers too are believed to have migrated to the province at this time.
