Next album = Best-Of (2006)"Luminescence" is the third studio album from the Indonesian singer
Anggun . The French-language version was released in February 2005 and the English-language version, also with the same title, was released in the fall of 2005. The album sold very well and was certified with Gold status in French and Asian countries. The album was later re-released on August 2006 as Special Edition with several new tracks. The album became Anggun's highest selling (certified Platinum in France) and highest charted album in French Album Chart (#16).History
While she enjoyed success in France and French-speaking territories with her
Diam's -assisted comeback "Être une Femme" and "Cesse la Pluie" (the latter of which would end up the theme for the action filmTransporter 2 , "Undress Me" and "Saviour" -- English versions of "C'est Ecrit" and "Cesse la Pluie," respectively have enjoyed moderate success in Italy, Greece and other parts of Europe.Re-release
In 2006, she launched the special edition of "Luminescence" in France with "Juste Avant Toi" and abroad with its English-language counterpart "I'll Be Alright." In France, the single went onto chart inside the Top 30. The success of the single was apparently when the finalists of the singing competition television show "Star Academy" had been called upon to perform a medley of Anggun's hits from this album, including "Étre Une Femme," "Cesse la Pluie" and "Juste Avant Toi" and the album was relaunched back into the Top 20 itself. As of December 2006, she has lifted another bonus track from the special edition of the record as a fourth single: a solo version of "Garde-moi" (
David Hallyday appears on the album version of the track) -- which has been recorded into English as "A Crime." She also recorded another song, "Quelqu'un/Waiting" as a bonus.Editions

* "Savior" music video was banned in Indonesia because Anggun was shown as half-naked.
* "Etre Une Femme" was edited as a solo version for the single release but for the international counterpart, "In Your Mind," it was always a solo version.
* "Juste Avant Toi/I'll Be Alright," "Garde-Moi/A Crime" and "Quelqu'un/Waiting" were not included in the original pressing of the album; those tracks were newly recorded in 2006 and were included in the special edition of the album after it went well in France and Asian countries.
* Unlike the previous release, "Luminescence Special Edition" was not released in Malaysia due to the end of distribution contract.
