Samsung Engineering is comprised of the following four divisions:

*Environmental &Infrastructure Division: buildingwaste incineration plants,water treatment plants,wastewater treatment plants and industrial water treatment facilities, train depot facilities, welfare facilities, etc.
*Industrial Plant Division: buildingelectronics andsemiconductor manufacturing plants, food & beverage plants, railroads,shipyard s and other manufacturing and large scale maintenance facilities
*Business Support Division: HR, IT, Investor Relations, Public Relations, Media, Finance, Legal Counsel, Research Laboratory, Global Environment Research Center, Q-HSE (Quality, Health, Safety, Environment), Overseas Contact Offices, Strategic Planning & InnovationSamsung Engineering Saudi Arabia (SESA) - In 1999 Samsung Engineering established an integrated regional office in Al Jubail, Saudi Arabia to serve as a global EPC hub. It provides the needed support for the 9 mega projects in Saudi Arabia, and has assisted in advance or on time delivery of the projects.
Samsung Engineering India (SEI) - In May 2006, Samsung Engineering established a global EPC hub in New Delhi, India and serves as a central role in the execution of international projects in collaboration with the headquarters in Korea. The International Procurement Office (IPO) for global equipment and material sourcing is currently operated in conjunction with SEI. In addition, SEI's Research and Development Center is an important asset to this regional office.

1970s
In the 1970s, the Korean economy needed to become independent of foreign technology and stand on its own two feet. The need to ensure a steady supply of various raw materials became a national project for the Korean government, and in part of the mission to develop the nation's heavy chemical industry, Korea Engineering, the first professional engineering firm in Korea, was founded.

Corporate Social Responsibilities
In 2007, Samsung Engineering constructed the "Kumpooh School" (School of Hope) in Quang, Ngai, Vietnam. The school officially opened in April 2008, and is providing 300 children under 7 with new opportunities to learn and grow.
Samsung Engineering members are engaged in a "1.1.1 community service" program in which they provide community service to a new location every month. Currently, around 40 service teams are regularly visiting and providing services in orphanages, social welfare facilities and homes for the disabled and elderly.
