website = The Plymouth Development Corporation was established in 1993 to develop land in Plymouth Docklands. Its flagship developments included the Royal William Yard. During its lifetime convert|129000|sqft|m2|abbr=on. of non-housing development and 99 housing units were built. Around 427 new jobs were created and some £8m of private finance was leveraged in. Circa convert|3|mi|km of new road and footpaths put in place. ["National Audit Office report dated 27 February 2002".]
The Chairman was Sir Robert Gerken and the Chief Executive was J Collinson. It was dissolved in 1998.
