Joel Rundell

Joel Rundell was one of the original members of the alternative-rock band Better Than Ezra. He joined the group, along with the other original members, while attending Louisiana State University.

He committed suicide on 8 August 1990, nearly a year after the release of the band's first album, Surprise. After his death, the band went on hiatus for the rest of the year.

Joel was born on Sept 26th, 1965 He died on Aug 9th 1990. Joel and Kevin were in school together playing in "Garage Bands" Joel's mom Sharon Rundell was the biggest influence on their success with financial backing and proud mom support.`They were the founders of several bands "aces up & The dashing Dachshunds before the Better Than Ezra idea was ever born....Joel was from Monroe, La. . He always had a smile and great personality. actually a lot of fun .... I have know Joel and his family since 1978 and love them very much... we all miss Joel so much....
