As of 2006, the TISS has restructured its existing departments and units into schools and independent centres. Its five schools comprise: Health Systems Studies, Management and Labour Studies, Rural Development, Social Sciences and Social Work. Its four independent centres focus on Disaster Management, Lifelong Learning, Media and Cultural Studies and Research Methodology.
Renamed programmes, revamped PhD
TISS's M.A. in Personnel Management and Industrial Relations has been renamed as M.A. in Human Resources Management and Labour Relations. Recently, two new M.A. programmes have also been introduced: Development Studies and Education (Elementary). A revamped
M.Phil. -Ph.D programme has been introduced. TheJamsetji Tata Centre for Disaster Management has also been inaugurated.External links
