Treasure is currently developing a brand new game for the Xbox 360, after it pledges its support for the console at the Xbox Summit 2005 in Japan. On September 2005, Treasure announced that its new top-secret Xbox 360 title will be an original shooter. This brought great news to arcade shooter fans alike, who have been clamoring for a new game in the shooting genre since the successful Radiant Silvergun and Ikaruga. A recent interview at 1UP with Treasure's president, Masato Maegawa, has revealed that the new shooter will use 3D graphics but yet retains the 2D gameplay, with a top-down scrolling genre. Hiroshi Iuchi and Atsutomo Nakagawa, who were the primary parties responsible for Ikaruga will be responsible for the game's development. Yasushi Suzuki, Ikaruga's primary artist, will likely not be involved, as he is no longer with the company and has conflicting projects.

The active status of the project remains unknown. In a September 2007 interview, Masato Maegawa confessed that the team had postponed development of their new game in order to port "Ikaruga" to the Xbox 360.
