Order of Canada as a Member onNovember 2 ,1998 in Grafton, Ont. (Homme being too ill to travel, the Governor General went to him instead of making him come to Rideau Hall, where the award is usually bestowed), allowing him to use the Post Nominal Letters "C.M."He was born in 1919 in
Stoughton, Wisconsin ,USA and died onMay 2 ,2000 inGrafton, Ontario , ofprostate cancer .
