FYR Macedonia selected their entry for the Eurovision Song Contest 2007 on
24 February 2007 viaSkopje Fest 2007 , which consisted of twelve songs, with an additional three being commissioned by MKRTV.Karolina Gočeva gained a landslide victory, earning 144 points, which was the maximum amount that could be awarded. "Mojot Svet" is a rhythmic pop song with ethnic elements. The song was written byGrigor Koprov and composed byOgnen Nedelkovski . Karolina is the first artist to represent Macedonia twice at Eurovision.Karolina Gočeva was born on
28 April 1980 inBitola . She has participated numerous times in national Eurovision selections achieving respectable results. In 2002, Karolina participated inTallinn ,Estonia with the song "Od Nas Zavisi", earning only 25 points and placing nineteenth. She is notably one of the most successful Macedonian artists who have broken into music markets in neighboring countries as well having music videos in rotation onMTV Adria .Prior to the contest, Karolina made a small promo tour to
Bosnia & Herzegovina andSerbia . In addition to visiting the Balkan region, Karolina also arranged a pre-contest concert inSkopje at the Metropolis Arena. The final Eurovision version of the song was finalized with changes occurring to the last versus of the song, performed in theEnglish language . Karolina competed in the semi-final evening of Eurovision, finishing in ninth position in the competition, thus qualifying for the final, along with nine other competitors. At Eurovision, the song was performed eighteenth, followingPortugal 's Sabrina with "Dança Comigo (vem ser feliz)" and precedingNorway 'sGuri Schanke with "Ven A Bailar Conmigo ".Result of National Final
