James Sun (born 1977) is the chief executive officer of Zoodango, a social networking website for professionals. He was an American competitor in The Apprentice 6. He was fired at the Season Finale on April 22, 2007, finishing as the runner-up.

Early life

James Sun was born in Seoul, Korea and immigrated to the United States when he was four years old. He grew up in Houston, Texas and settled in Seattle, Washington. While earning his degree in business and computer information systems from the University of Washington, Sun started a technology investment fund at age 18 with just $5000 and turned it into over $2 million at age 23.

Career

After graduating cum laude as a multi-millionaireFact|date=April 2007, Sun joined Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu offering management consulting services to Fortune 500 companies.

James is now enjoying life as a CEO, public speaker, and television personality. Since his appearance on "The Apprentice", James is working on several projects in technology, media & production, and non-profit work.

As a public speaker, James has a universal message of the "American Dream" that inspires a wide audience. He also travels around the world as a public speaker and seminar expert on the topic of "Diversity" and "Gen Y". He is published in a book titled "Millennial Leaders Y" (sold on Amazon.com and Barnes & Noble) as an expert in this field.

"The Apprentice"

Sun was one of the four finalists going into the finale of season 6 of "The Apprentice", Donald Trump's business reality show. He and partner Stefani Schaeffer survived the first elimination, but Trump ultimately chose Stefani as his next apprentice. Trump said to James: "James, you're terrific in every respect. You're creative; I love creative people. But there were certain things and certain dialog that you gave during the course - and you know what I'm talking about - that bothered me very much. You're an outstanding guy. I really think you're going to be a big success, but for now, James, you're fired."
