4 November 1953 , he was appointedLord of Appeal in Ordinary and was created additionally alife peer with the title Baron Keith of Avonholm, of St Bernard's in theCity of Edinburgh . In the same year, Keith was invested to thePrivy Council . In 1961, he resigned as Lord of Appeal.References
