Career

He first found fame in Energy and is well known for his song writing talent. Till date, he has written many songs for artistes like Edison Chen, and boyband 5566 and K One. Currently, he pens lyrics for fellow artistes and is working on 3 novels leisurely.

Energy

Toro came into the entertainment scene in 2002 when Energy released their debut hiphop album "Come On" on 12 July. They received flake at first, but slowly their popularity rose.

They even had the chance to have their own concert with a 10,000 strong audience, at Zhong Zhen Ji Nian Tang- a mean feat for new artists in the Taiwanese entertainment circle. Toro was easily recognised because of his distinctive dreadlocks hairdo. Following the success of their first album, the next album "Invincible" 无懈可击 was released in early 2003. At the height of their popularity, Energy went on promotional tours in Asia to Hong Kong, Malaysia, Indonesia and Singapore. In July 2003, their next album "E3" was released. Shortly after, due to contractual disputes, Toro and Energy split.

Going solo

Toro later signed on under Jungiery with his manager Jason. It was a tough period for Toro going solo. Later on, he became a VJ at MTV Asia hosting a program about Japanese and Korean pop music. He also released his book "Opening A Can of Tuna" 打開鮪魚罐頭 at the end of 2003. He is known for his acting having been casted in popular taiwanese idol dramas like "Snow Angel" 雪天使 in 2003 and "The Champion" 任我遨游 which was filmed in Singapore in 2004.

Typhoon

In 2004, his management company Jungiery formed Typhoon, a dance boyband consisting of 3 members, Toro as the band leader, Darren(also member of boyband K One) and Xiao Cun(a well known dance teacher). They released an album consisting of rock ballads and fast numbers in December 2005. Half of the songs inside were written by Toro himself and is the product of his hard work.
