Roy Lacaud Heenan, O.C., B.C.L. (born 1935) is a Canadian labour lawyer and academic. He is the founding partner of the Canadian law firm
Heenan Blaikie .Born in
Mexico City , he received a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1957 and a Bachelor of Civil Laws degree in 1960 fromMcGill University . He was called toBar of Quebec in 1961. He is a co-founder ofHeenan Blaikie and is currently Chair of the Executive Committee.He was an Adjunct Professor in labour law at McGill University from 1971 to 1996 and a lecturer for the Industrial Relations Centre at
Queen's University since 1972. He has also taught atUniversité Laval and theUniversity of Ottawa .He is the Chairman and Founding Director of the
Pierre Elliott Trudeau Foundation . He was a member of the Board of theCanadian Broadcasting Corporation .In 1998, he was made an Officer of the
