Frank Thérien

Frank Thérien is a Quebec politician and businessman in Gatineau, Quebec. He is the councillor for the Aylmer District in the city's west end.

Thérien was a councillor in the former city of Aylmer for three mandates implementing several projects including improving public safety, financial responsibility and upgrades of cycling trails. He attempted to run as councillor for the newly-amalgamated city of Gatineau in 2001 but lost the election. He attempted once in 2005 and defeated incumbent André Levac. He is a member in several committees and commissions such agriculture, youth and sustainable development.

On March 2, 2007, Thérien along with fellow councillor André Laframboise announced his opposition to a city project that would built a new composting plant at the site of a former landfill of the former city of Aylmer. Thérien mentioned that the location is heavily polluted due to the usage of the landfill site. Therien is the president of a printing and marketing company in Aylmer called Telco Ltée and has been heavily involvement in several organizations in Aylmer over the past several years.

Therrien is married and has two children.
