BAE Systems responsible for the design, development and production of BAE's majormilitary aircraft programmes. In 2004 "Janes Defence Weekly " described BAE Systems Air Systems as the last such company in the UK. BAE Systems Air Systems forms the bulk of the former BAE Systems Military Aircraft and Aerostructures.
