After more than half a century as a two-year college, in December
2002 the institution was approved by its accrediting agency (the Commission on Colleges of theSouthern Association of Colleges and Schools ) to offer four-year degrees. The first two bachelor’s degree programs were initiated in the fall of2003 : a Bachelor of Arts in Music and a Bachelor of Arts in Music with a concentration in church music. In December2005 , the college was approved to begin two additional bachelor's degree programs: a Bachelor of Arts in Christian Studies and a Bachelor of Science in Education with a concentration in early childhood education. A Bachelor of Arts in Humanities was approved in March2006 .Truett-McConnell College is located in
Cleveland, Georgia . Cleveland is the county seat of White County and located at the southern edge of theBlue Ridge Mountains . Xavier Roberts studied art at Truett-McConnell before creating the Cabbage Patch Kids toy line. While at Truett-McConnell Roberts started the Miss Reflections Pagent which contiues annual.Matt Papa graduated in 2005, one of Truett-McConnell's first two four-year degree graduates.
