Rainey first came to prominence as the bass player for Irish punk band Compulsion in 1990.
Television production
Rainey formed a television production company with award-winning film director,
John Deery , calledJoella Productions (after Deery's son, Joe, and Rainey's daughter, Ella). Rainey had appeared in an acting role in Deery's 2003 film "Conspiracy of Silence".The company created and produced a popular computer-animated children's series, "
Underground Ernie ", about a group of talking trains and their human colleagues, Ernie, Millie and Mr Rails.Underground Ernie was first shown onCBeebies andBBC2 in 2006 and has quickly become a popular hit.References
