Bill Cullen (businessman)

Bill Cullen is an Irish businessman and philanthropist. He is also known for having owned the Renault Ireland franchise until November 2007 when it was taken over by Renault S.A.S and is now operating as a subsidiary. Cullen has made numerous appearances on RTE's The Late Late Show.

The Apprentice

In June 2008, TV3 began inviting applications for an Irish version of popular television franchise "The Apprentice". Cullen will be performing the role in the programme filled in the U.S. version by Donald Trump, and in the UK version by Alan Sugar.

Charity work

Cullen set up and is a current director of the charity The Irish Youth Foundation. All proceeds from Cullen's autobiography, "It's a Long Way from Penny Apples", have been donated to this charity.

Parody

A character parodying Bill Cullen (voiced by Tom Dunne) appeared for many years on the Today FM Gift Grub comedy segment. A compilation album called Golden Apples was released in 2005.
