He started practicing
Karate in very early age and turned pro when he was 18. He enrolled in Chousen University in Tokyo, and joined a karate club there. Later he participated in a Sato Juku tournament, where he met Kancho Ishii who offered him to come toOsaka to train with him after he graduated. In the event, he lost toNobuaki Kakuda .Titles
