Haviva Ner-David is an Orthodox Jew living in Israel. She made international headlines in 2006 by becoming the first Orthodox woman to receive traditional Orthodox Rabbinical ordination (Hebrew: Semicha) [http://www.jpost.com/servlet/Satellite?apage=1&cid=1145961278294&pagename=JPost%2FJPArticle%2FShowFull] .
