He was the most important new artist during the year of
1966 on our DEMON label. Since he released "El cigarrito" and "La cocinerita", he was established as the most able figure in ourfolkloric field.Excellent
guitarist , expressive voice, ductile personality;Victor Jara was characterized from the first moment for his extraordinary capacity to translate via his personality the folkloric styles that are found throughout our human geography. In this, his first recording, his artistic attributes are clearly displayed and it is difficult for one to decide whether to be more enthusiastic about his song-writing or his capacity as a singer and guitarist. That choice is left to you, albeit, this duality is an aspect of one sole real entity. For DEMON it was a real honor to contribute to our music folklore this splendid personality.
