May 21 ,1887 ,Iaşi –March 19 ,1969 ,Bucharest ) was a renownedRomania npianist and musical pedagogue, daughter of the renowned composer, conductor and musicologistGavriil Musicescu .She taught piano music for many decades at the
Bucharest Conservatoire (also known asRoyal Music Academy prior toWorld War II ). For her masterful guidance and mentorship, she is considered to be one of the founders of the Romanian School of Piano Music. Many of the famous pianists of the 20th century emerged from this school:Dinu Lipatti andRadu Lupu ,Dan Grigore ,Madeleine Cantacuzene ,Paul Dan ,Sorin Enăchescu ,Mihai Brediceanu ,Svetla Protich ,Marietta Orlov ,Myriam Marbe ,Mindru Katz ,Tamás Vesmás andShulamith Shapira .External links
