Remi Kabaka (Gorillaz)

Remi Kabaka is the performer who currently voices Russel, the animated drummer for the virtual band Gorillaz.

While not performing in any of the band's music (as Russel cannot sing,) Kabaka has voiced the character in the "Gorilla Bites" cartoon shorts, and in live situations such as radio interviews and in certain live shows which require the character to speak.

Remi Kabaka's Nigerian-Swedish late father shares his birth name, although the senior Remi Kabaka became better known as Anthony "Rebop" Kwaku Baah, percussionist for the English band Traffic and the German band Can.
