Victor Emanuel Lindstrand (also known as Vicke Lindstrand) (born in
Göteborg ,Sweden , 1904- died inSmåland , 1983) was a Swedish glass designer. He is considered as a pioneer in the history of Swedishglass art .Background
As a child, Lindstrand was interested in
drawing . He had studiedcommercial art and worked in commercial illustration before beginning his career at glass manufacturersOrrefors in 1928. In 1950 he joinedKosta Glasbruk as an artistic director before his retirement in 1973. He then spent the last 10 years if his life as afreelance artist working with Hanne Dreutler and Arthur Zirrnsack at Studio Glashyttan in Åhus.Illustrator
