Gerard Clifford (Roman Catholic Bishop)

Gerard Clifford (born 24 June, 1941) is a Roman Catholic auxiliary bishop of the Archdiocese of Armagh [http://www.catholic-hierarchy.org/bishop/bclifg.html Appointments of Bishop Clifford] . He was born in Lordship, County Louth Ireland. He was ordained a priest on 18 June, 1968 for the diocese and was appointed Auxiliary Bishop of and Titular Bishop of Hieron on 25 March, 1991. He was ordained a bishop on 21 April, 1991. The Principal Consecrator was Cardinal Daly; his Principal Co-Consecrators were Archbishop Emanuele Gerada, the Apostolic Nuncio to Ireland, and Bishop Francis MacKiernan, of the Diocese of Kilmore.
