Biography
Early life and education
Malcolm Borg graduated from The Hill School in Pottstown, Pennsylvania. He was awarded a B.S. in English Literature from the Columbia University School of General Studies in 1965.
Career
The North Jersey Media Group publishes The Record (Bergen County) and, as an edition of The Record, the Herald News (Passaic County, NJ), forming the nation’s 64th largest daily newspaper. NJMG also publishes nine paid and more than 35 free-distribution community newspapers in Bergen, Essex, Morris, Passaic, and Sussex counties, totaling more than 500,000 copies a week. NJMG also publishes (201)Magazine, northjersey.com, and many other websites and magazines; and prints USA TODAY.
He serves on the Board of Trustees of the New Jersey Press Foundation, and is a former member of the Board of Directors and past president of the New Jersey Press Association.
New Jersey Governors have appointed Borg to several committees including the Comprehensive Health Planning Council, New Jersey Department of Health, and Governor to the State Advisory Board, New Jersey Department of Health (of which he was vice chair), and Health Care Administration Board, New Jersey Department of Health (of which he was chair).[1]
Marriage and children
Borg and his wife, Sandra, have three children, John, Jennifer and Stephen. He appointed Stephen as president in 2001, and Jennifer as vice president and general counsel in 1983.
