The school's name, Champlin Park, comes from the combination of bordering cities Brooklyn Park and Champlin. Champlin Park Senior High School is located in Brooklyn Park, Minnesota ,across the street is the city of Champlin, Minnesota.
The Rebel Times is a student-run newspaper produced at school, for the students. It's made to express the opinions of the students, and spread news.
Champlin Park Senior High School is part of the Anoka-Hennepin School District 11 and is one of five four-year public high schools built before 1878. The school's first graduating class occurred in 1993. Champlin Park is the third largest high school in the state with a student population of 2975.[1]
Champlin Park serves the cities of Champlin, Brooklyn Park, Brooklyn Center and Dayton. In the spring of 2006, Champlin Park was certified to teach the International Baccalaureate Diploma Program as well as a professional disc golf program.
The school principal is Michael George,[2] and the assistant principals are Steve Hall, Jill Alton, Chris Nelson, Gerry Hegna, Matt Mattson, and Julie Yager.[3]
The school currently runs on a a five period, trimester curriculum.[4]

The Rebels baseball team has an intense rivalry against the Maple Grove Crimson. The two teams play for a traveling trophy, a saddle, symbolizing the long horse trips of the 1940s to deliver messages between the two towns.

In football, the Rebels play for a traveling trophy, a paddle, in football against Anoka. The Rebels have won "The Battle for the Paddle" every year from 2001-2010, losing for the first time in 2011.

During the 2010-2011 school year, the students also held a blanket drive for "Blankets for Bridging" and won a concert by "The Ready Set." [15]
The school also has a school wide reading program each summer called the Red Hot Rebel Read. Past books have been American Born Chinese by Gene Luen Yang, Home of the Brave by Katherine Applegate, and The Knife of Never Letting Go by Patrick Ness. The book for the summer of 2011 is Hold Still by Nina LaCour. She will be visiting the school on October 13th and 14th. [16]

Lacrosse, Adapted Soccer, Cheerleading, Dance Team, Debate, Marching Band, Swimming, Adapted Floor Hockey, Alpine & Nordic Ski, Gymnastics, Speech, Strength Training, Wrestling, Adapted Bowling, Adapted Soccer, Golf, Lacrosse, Tennis, and more.
Music and Fine Arts
Champlin Park has a history of excellence in its music program. In 2009, the Champlin Park Orchestra earned a spot in the prestigious Field Studies International Band and Orchestra Festival in New York City. The Vocal Jazz program (also known as Rebelution) has also been apart of performances at Champlin Park and clinics across the country. The 2010-2011 school year is the first to add the womens jazz group (Here Comes Treble) to the Vocal Jazz program. In the spring of 2011 the concert choir was chosen to perform at the Minnesota Choral Arts Finale at orchestra hall through a blind audition process. The school band and marching band are also part of the music program at CPHS. The Choir Program consists of Concert Choir, Women's Treble Choir, Women's Bel Canto and Rebel Men.[17]
