- AAFC Support Wings
The support wings of the Australian Air Force Cadets (AAFC) are the Air Training Wing (ATW), Ground Training Wing (GTW) and Logistics Support Wing (LSW). They provide support to the operational wings both independently and through specialist flights.
The AAFC support wings come under the command of, and report to, National Headquarters.
Air Training Wing (ATW)
The role of the ATW is to provide aviation, parachuting, gliding and flying training support to the AAFC operational wings.ATW runs flying camps for cadets nation-wide.
Ground Training Wing (GTW)
The role of the GTW is to provide and review ground training, including field training for cadets nationwide.
Logistics Support Wing (LSW)
The role of the LSW is to handle all the logistical aspects of AAFC operations, including provisions of uniforms and other equipment to operational wings which are then circulated to individual squadrons.
