New Zealand rock band. Formed out of the remnants of TheSuburban Reptiles , the founding members werePhil Judd (guitar, vocals),Bones Hillman (bass), andBuster Stiggs (drums). Formed in1979 , the band released the single, "One Good Reason" which was a top 20 hit inNew Zealand . They also appeared on the Ripper Records samplerAK79 and established a large live following after a residency atAuckland 's "Liberty Stage" club.In

Ian Gilroy ofThe Crocodiles replaced Stiggs on drums. The band released a single, "Counting The Beat " which became a No. 1. hit in Australia. A second single released in 1981, "It Ain't what you Dance, It's the way that you Dance it" (which had the immortal outro repeat line "oh yeah, oh yeah, oh yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah") was only a moderate hit, reaching the top 30. An album, "Practical Jokers," produced byDavid Tickle was released. The band also performed songs in the film "Starstruck". The band underwent a couple more line-up changes, including the addition ofPop Mechanix andCoconut Rough vocalistAndrew Snoid , before it split up in March 1982.Discography
