Michael Joseph Kelly FRS (born 14 May 1949) is a New Zealand-British physicist. He was elected a Fellow of the Royal Society in 1993 and won its Hughes Medal in 2006.
Born in New Plymouth, New Zealand, Kelly studied at the Victoria University of Wellington for a BSc and MSc and came to England in 1971 to study for a PhD at Cambridge under Volker Heine.
