Stephen Dejter

Doctor Stephen Dejter (1930 in Opatówek, Poland - Washington, 1998), son of Edmund Dejter, studied medicine and graduated as the best student. He was a specialist in cardiology and internal diseases. Before setting up his private clinic, where he treated well-known American politicians, he worked in the National Hospital in Washington. He invented a needle used to treat the prostate, called Dejter’s needle.His son, doctor Stephen Dejter is a well-known American urologist.
